Montreal Events in July


RuptureTV is once again bringing you a list of all of the events that are coming up this month. So if you are looking for something to do throughout the month of July look no further because we have you covered!

Throughout the month of July the fireworks festival will be taking place. Every show will be representing a different country. The opening took place on July 1st, but if you missed it do not worry because there are a lot more shows happening throughout the month. If you want to watch the fireworks you can from LaRonde, the lookout on the mountain, the old port, and a few other locations.

July 8th– Italy

  • The theme of the night is Bellissima Sicilia. The show will be recreating the history of Sicily's art, colours, landscapes, sounds and architecture.

July 15th – Poland

  • The theme of this show is Just Fun. It is inspired by the energy of pop and rock music.

July 19th – Germany

  • Germany's theme is Pyro Rhapsody. The show will try to depict emotional moments, humour and impressions while featuring classical music.

July 22nd – France

  • The July 22nd theme is Evolution of Music. The show will not only try to depict France's history but it will also be going through the history of music.

July 26th – Portugal

  • The theme of The Portuguese Odyssey will attempt to recreate when explorers crossed oceans to discover the land.

July 29th – England

  • England's theme is Gunpowder and Greasepaint and will feature classics like West Side Story, Memory from Cats, Les Misérables and more.

Sidewalk Sales

Another major part of summer in Montreal is all the many sidewalk sales going on throughout the city. Some of them even have games, music, and free food!

  • Amazing sales and free concerts every night!

  • This sale is celebrating its 20th anniversary! So head over to St. Catherine for great deals, food, drinks, music and much more!

Festivals

The first thought many have when asked about summer in Montreal, is the number of festivals that take place. We have compiled a list of some of the lesser known festivals happening this month.

  • 10 days of different circus events and shows on Saint-Denis street.

  • More than 150 teams will be competing in this dragon boat race event. To register a team or to watch the race, contact organizers at info@missiondragonboat.com

  • Montreal’s famous Just for Laughs festival will once again be taking place this month. There will be comedy shows with some of the world’s most famous comedians throughout the festival as well as many other events taking place.

  • The 21st annual film festival will be taking place over 3 weeks. The full lineup is posted on their website.

  • This is a free festival though some of the events may have a fee. Many different concerts, games, and a lot of food is what await you over this 7 day event.

There are a bunch of other events you will need tickets for. The numbers of tickets are limited so make sure to get yours quickly!
